ACLU of Massachusetts executive director Carol Rose joined Boston Public Radio to discuss the state's newly implemented public records law, offer commentary on the delays facing legal marijuana sales, and share our Freedom Agenda to push back against threats of a Trump presidency.

People can feel very disempowered by what's happening and by what's coming with Trump. There is a lot of fear but frankly, there is a basis for hope. ...

The most important thing for people to hear is that they can take a stand. Whether they are lawyers, artists, teachers, students—anybody can take a stand in the community they live in. 

There's a lot of convening, a lot of conversations, a lot of work going on that should give people a lot of room for hope despite the battle ahead.
