On Friday, August 28th, from 3:30 pm - 6 pm, ACLU of Massachusetts will be partnering in a press conference to bring attention to the social injustices Black people face in Massachusetts. The event is led by Brothers Building - a local group of Black Men in Boston and beyond, that is solely focused on “Improving holistic wellness one Black Man at a time”. The group will also be partnering with NAACP Boston and many other local organizations.

This local press conference is not just about George Floyd and Breonna Taylor; it is about the centuries of systemic racism and generational genocide against Black people in this Commonwealth.

According to Brothers Building: "It is about canceling the notion of getting what is owed to us from these same institutions, without dismantling its biased foundation and recreating with equitable practices. This is a call to action to the Black Community, to take a stance and say “Enough.” Enough to the unjust killing and criminalization of our young men and women, enough to the defunding and gentrification of our communities. But just as important, this is a call to remind the Black Community that we are "Enough” that when we come together, we have more than enough to begin the work of creating the world in which we wish to live."
